With over 250 pulp and paper valves supplied, ORBINOX is proud to be part of a project that has recently achieved two production world records
Four months ago, Bracell started the operations of its new plant, Project Star, with the production of the first cellulose sheet, the initial stage of the plant’s learning curve. The startup enabled the implementation of the bold expansion project of the company in the State of São Paulo, which will diversify and increase the plant’s product to 1.5 million tons of soluble cellulose or up to 3 million tons of kraft cellulose a year. With the startup of the operations, the company is now the world’s greatest soluble cellulose producer.
Andritz has been the production equipment supplier for the two environmentally friendly hardwood pulp production lines where ORBINOX knife gate valves and tilting disc check valves have been installed. Over 250+ ORBINOX manual valves have been supplied to Bracell´s “STAR” project through our distributor Flowtec Industrietechnik GmbH
The ORBINOX scope of supply includes:
- ET uni-directional MSS SP-81 knife gate valve
- EB bi-directional knife gate valves
- BT bi-directional MSS SP-81 knife gate valves
- RM metal-to-metal seat tilting disc check valves
Since September 9, the project has achieved two production world records. Both records have been set during the first four months after start-up by the two pulp drying lines where ORBINOX valves are also installed.
